About the workshop

Raised in Carpinteria, California, my background was built on discipline and hard work. I spent my early years on commercial fishing boats along the Pacific Coast from California to Alaska, followed by four and a half years as an Army paratrooper, including a yearlong deployment to Afghanistan. Today, I run my shop from a small farm in rural Michigan, translating that same focus and grit into heavy timber carpentry. I specialize in traditional mortise and tenon joinery, crafting custom window and door awnings, porticos, structural trusses, staircases, and fine furniture. Every piece is built by hand with structural integrity at its core, designed to bring warmth and permanence to your space for generations.
