About the workshop
Contemporary fine furniture studio from Bainbridge Island, WA, experimenting with west + east coast organic design and brutalism. Founded by craftsman Lucas Fritz Weyand and his illustrator wife Eliza, Studio Fritz is an ongoing partnership in design. The studio builds exclusively with solid wood and traditional joinery, intentionally rejecting more efficient methods such as nails, screws or CNC machinery. Techniques are deliberately slow, allowing for adjustment based on wood and structural behaviour as it evolves during the process. Studio Fritz is co-owned and operated by Lucas and his wife Eliza.
