About the workshop
Wylie’s Wood & Leather is a custom furniture studio founded by Justin Comins. After two decades as a television executive developing series for Netflix, HBO, National Geographic and Discovery, Justin witnessed firsthand the contraction reshaping Hollywood. As opportunities narrowed and the industry changed, he saw a chance to reconsider what he wanted to build next and chose to leave television to pursue a lifelong passion for craftsmanship. Justin has carried the skills he developed in Hollywood into his new chapter, from interpreting a creative vision to managing complex productions and bringing an idea to life. Rooted in the tradition of heirloom furniture-making, Wylie’s combines traditional joinery, hand-tooling and time-honored techniques to create custom furniture and handcrafted leather goods for clients across the country. Each piece is personal, made with intention and built to become part of a family’s story for generations.
